The Lockdown can be a difficult style of HG to pass. In this video Sean Bollinger demonstrates the Capoeira Pass which is a backstep with a few important details that make the backstep work.
The first detail is when your opponent whips up to their side you trap their supporting arm instead of the one throwing a whizzer on the arm that has the underhook. This is important because it is going to help prevent your opponent from coming on top when you do the back step.
After the arm is trapped you release your leg from the Lockdown and backstep to your butt. It feels like you don't have any base here but because their arm is trapped they will not be able to get the top position on you.
Sean gives you a bonus set up to a Triangle from the top in this one too.
