Half Guard: Homer Sweep

The Homer Sweep is a sweep from a deep half guard. You can enter the position from the HG with the Lockdown too.

Basically, you want to get so far under in the HG that you can bear hug your opponent's upper thigh. Then you will be able to sweep your opponent either way. It all depends on which way your opponent tries to go.

I think Jeff Glover in the video above named the tech. At this point you see this deep HG more in BJJ with the Gi. In BJJ it is a more static position because of all the handles that your opponent can use to stop your momentum for the sweep.

This is a very nice sweep to add to your HG game !
