Leg Locks:
Leg Control vs Seated Guard

Getting leg control for lower half positional fighting against the seated guard is demonstrated in the video above by Reilly Bodycomb of New York Combat Sambo. This is a really nice and 'easy' setup for leg locks.

The entry and establishing leg control position is the difference between getting the submission or someone spinning out of your leg lock attempt.

Basically, what you want to do is lift your opponent's ankle as you slide your leg underneath the leg you are attacking. This same basic idea can be used if you are standing against your opponent's seated guard.

I have seen where Reilly will lace his top leg over his opponent's leg and hide it under their other leg. This fully locks in the position and protects the foot from counter leg attacks.
