Rubber Guard: Mission Triangle

From Mission Control World No-Gi Champion Denny Prokopos demonstrates one way to the Triangle Choke.

After you break your opponent’s posture down and secure Mission Control you will use your free hand to hold your opponents head down.

The next step is to release Mission Control while holding their head in place, grab your opponent’s wrist and push it through your legs as you raise your hips to lock in the Triangle.

There is a lot going on in that step and it all has to be done simultaneously in order to land the technique. Needless to say you are going to want to drill this step many times in order to get the timing for all of it down.

The Crackhead Triangle is another setup for the Triangle from the Rubber Guard. These two techniques can be very powerful used in combination.

In the video above you get a little extra sweep to throw into the mix as well.
