Side Mount: Omoplata







This is a nice Omoplata setup from Side Control. You can pull this out when the person has pummeled their arm inside and are going to their knees.

When your opponent is on their side there are a few options. One is the Omoplata as shown in the video above. Two, is the Darce Choke or three, if your opponent is able to get up to their knees there is a nasty little Neck Crank that you can do by putting an S-Grip around their head and cranking.

A lot of people will put the S-Grip under their opponent's far armpit trying to get the Omoplata. The problem is that a lot of times your opponent will roll and then you end up in this weird position on you side behind them. Forget that, if neck cranks are allowed, S-Grip their head.
