Submission Fighting goes by many names from Submission Grappling or Wrestling to No-Gi Grappling. It is a re-emerging sport which now combines techniques from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Sambo, Catch, Collegiate & Greco Roman Wrestling, Judo etc ...
At this point there is no unifying organizational body so the rules and point systems will vary from one competition to the next with the Abu Dhabi Combat Club being the pinnacle for the sport.
When it comes to submissions almost anything goes. The only exceptions may be neck cranks or spine locks depending on the rules of the venue. Small joint manipulation is prohibited by most competitions.
No-Gi Grappling unites the best of upper and lower body positional submission fighting combined with takedowns from stand-up.
