Half Guard: Golden Arm Sweep
The Golden Arm sweep is a technique that I discovered while drilling from the half guard at 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu back in '06-07.
Eddie Bravo had us starting from the Lockdown and he gave us double underhooks. The bottom guy was going for the sweep to get top position or go to full guard. The top guy was working to pass the guard or get a submission.
Once I whipped up to my side I was looking for Old School, the Electric Chair or the Twist Back. What I saw was his hand posted on the mat so instead of going for his foot I grabbed his wrist instead and pulled it into his body. This took his base away real fast.
Next I got 2-on-1 control with the arm that was over his back. Now I had his arm totally trapped with his leg in the Lockdown. It took me a few seconds to realize that my opponent was helpless.
From this position I felt that I could sweep my opponent backwards so I let go of the Lockdown, posted my feet and easily swept them over and got the top position.
I would call the technique the 100% because it has worked for me 100% of the time once I have the arm trapped. Eddie already named a technique that so I call this the Golden Arm sweep.

Here Jason has Bence in half guard with the Lockdown and double
underhooks with a Ball & Socket grip.
Next I whip up by lifting his leg with the Lockdown and lifting his shoulders upward. I like to keep the Ball & Socket grip when I whip the leg up in order to keep my opponent's base broken down.
From there I go to my right side while keeping the Lockdown and my underhooks tight.
At this point Bence posted his left arm out for base while grabbing a whizzer with his right arm. I grab his wrist and...
I pull it into his body and get a two-on-one grip with my left hand which was over his back. As you can see his base is gone. His head is on the mat and his right leg is trapped.
Now I can let go of the Lockdown and post my feet on the mat. All I have to do at this point is...
Bridge over my left shoulder and he will go right over.
As I sweep him I step over his body with my right leg. I've heard Rickson Gracie call this position the 'Technical Mount.' From this position I can go to the full mount, take his back or go for the arm bar. It all depends on how they react to the sweep.
